Half the questions were released by Illustrative Mathematics as practice questions for grades 6–12. The other half are original, written by EducAide Software (the maker of Problem-Attic). For convenience, each of the IM source questions is included immediately before EducAide's, so you can see the pairing. (You can think of the IM source questions as the “odds” and EducAide's questions as the “evens”.) The result: all of the IM practice questions for middle school and high school are doubled!
Illustrative Mathematics is based at the University of Arizona and headed by William McCallum, one of the lead writers of the Common Core State Standards. Described as “a community of educators dedicated to the coherent learning of mathematics”, Illustrative Mathematics has produced an “extensive and carefully vetted collection of instructional and assessment tasks that have been aligned with CCSS.”

This is the second of two banks which originate with Illustrative Mathematics. The first bank, IM Curriculum and CCSS Tasks, contains lessons and practice questions for grades K–12 released by Illustrative Mathematics.
