This bank contains questions from the North Carolina Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCCTM) high school math contest. Each year of the contest is presented in its entirety, and individual questions are re-organized topically.
NCCTM has been administering the state contest since 1979. For more information, please see this page.
This bank is one of three NC high school math contests found on Problem-Attic. The other two are UNC Charlotte and WCU. The contests are meant to serve several purposes: stimulate interest in mathematics through collegial competition; encourage participants to think of their futures beyond high school; and honor those students who demonstrate outstanding mastery of mathematics.
